Try out your luck with Carmel's Queen of Hearts Raffle March 18

With three drawings now complete, officials at Carmel Catholic continue to await a winner in the school's first Queen of Hearts Raffle.

More than $21,000 is currently in the pot, with half that amount being awarded to one lucky winner should the Queen of Hearts be chosen on March 18.

The weekly raffle will supplement Carmel's 47th annual Street Scenes event. Ahead of the March 18 drawing, the Carmel Catholic community and general public can test their luck while supporting the event by purchasing Queen of Hearts tickets, available for $5 each.

Ticket sales close each Thursday at noon for that evening's drawing, which is livestreamed on the school's official Facebook page.

Ticket sales will begin at 9 a.m. the day after the weekly drawing and will count for the following week's drawing.

Participants must be at least 21 years of age and physically present in Illinois when purchasing raffle tickets. Cards will be numbered 1-54 and include a pair of jokers, which also provide a monetary payoff. Participants will be able to select the ticket number they wish to buy raffle tickets for.

The lucky winner who selects the envelope containing the hidden Queen of Hearts playing card will win 50% of the total progressive jackpot, which rolls over week after week.

All remaining proceeds will benefit Carmel Catholic High School tuition assistance and student programming.

Now in its 47th year, Carmel's popular Street Scenes fundraiser features a lineup of entertainment, local food and beverage vendors, and the renowned Student Show. Street Scenes will take on a new look this year, being held virtually April 9-15.
