Hound Egg Hunt returns to Palatine on March 27

Palatine Park District will host the annual Hound Egg Hunt Saturday, March 27, at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 256 E. Palatine Road, Palatine. Registration is required prior to March 27; no walk-ins will be permitted.

This event consists of an egg hunt, obstacle course and photo opportunity. A souvenir photo with the park district's bunny mascot, eggs filled with treats, goody bag and raffle entry are included in the registration fee.

In addition to the egg hunt, participants will have the opportunity to visit with community sponsors.

Dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash and all owners must wear a mask at all times. All dogs must be wearing a current rabies tag, and Palatine residents must wear the village of Palatine issued license tag to participate. This is a village of Palatine ordinance and is therefore a requirement to participate; Sec. 5-40.

Nonresidents must bring current identification along with required paperwork to register.

The registration fee is $10 for one dog and one owner. Additional owners may register for a $2 fee. All human and dog attendees must be registered to attend. Registration is accepted online at palatineparks.org or in person at the Community Center.

This year's sponsors include A Closer Bond Dog School, Berkshire Hathaway - Sue Gould, and Pete & Mac's Pet Resort.
