League of Women Voters of Park Ridge to host virtual candidate forum on March 18

The League of Women Voters of Park Ridge will host a virtual public forum with candidates vying for the 2nd Ward alderman seat in the Park Ridge City Council, Julianna Lopez de Philbrook and Fred Sanchez.

The forum will take place on Zoom on Thursday, March 18, starting at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Please submit any questions for the candidates to lwvprforum@gmail.com. You may submit questions in advance of or during the forum.

Prospect High School sophomore Lucy Neacy will moderate the forum hosted by Heidi Graham, president of the League of Women Voters of Arlington Heights, which covers Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Buffalo Grove, Prospect Heights, Wheeling and Elk Grove Village.

The 2nd Ward includes portions of Park Ridge north of Oakton St. to the Des Plaines border. To determine your ward, go to www.parkridge.us and go to the "Our Government: City Council" section to find a link to the ward map, or visit www.cookcountyclerkil.gov and click on the "Elections" icon to go to your voter information.
