The Elk Grove Village Public Library is offering a series of virtual Money Smart presentations with personal finance educator Karen Chan. These programs are free.

The programs, covering various topics, will take place on Zoom at 7 pm on these dates: Feb. 18 - Credit History, Credit Score and Identify Theft Protection; Mar. 18 - 10 Steps to a Smarter Tax Return; and April 8 - Estate Planning Toolbox. To register, visit the library's events calendar at www.egvpl.org.

While there is no in-person programming at this time, the Elk Grove Village Public Library is open to the public.

A certified financial planner, Karen Chan promoted consumer financial education through the University of Illinois Extension for 20 years. For more information about her, visit karenchanfinancialed.com.

The Elk Grove Library also hosted Chan in January for the topic: 12 Months to Take Control of Your Finances. A recording of the program is available on the library's YouTube page: www.youtube.com/user/elkgrovelibrary.
