Celebrate the new year with a hike at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve

Start 2021 off right with a peaceful hike through the crisp winter woods.

During this New Year's Hike, participants will listen for seasonal birds, look for wildlife tracks, and enjoy a healthful walk while enjoying trailside company. Bring the whole family!

Join Forest Preserve District of Kane County for the hike on Friday, Jan. 1, from 9-10 a.m. at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve.

Participants will meet outside Creek Bend Nature Center at 37W700 Dean St., west of Randall Road in St. Charles.

This free program is for all-ages.

Advance registration is required. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.

Masks are required at all programs. Group sizes will be limited to 10 people. Frequent hand sanitizing or handwashing is encouraged. Stay home if you are sick or experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms.
