Enclave Learning & Earning Center launches master classes featuring exemplary women leaders in the region
Enclave Learning & Earning Center, the region's only local-to-global hub for entrepreneurs, organization builders and other leaders, today launched a master class series focusing on how women business leaders can bring a healthier, more productive and emphatic mindset to organizations seeking to navigate their way through the economic turbulence caused by the global pandemic.
The economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic has inordinately impacted women. Just last month, 860,000 women dropped out of the U.S. workforce, compared to 216,000 men, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics.
"The pandemic has illustrated the need to have more women in areas of responsibility. We have talked for decades about the need to diversify the workforce. But now more than ever, ventures need to embrace the mindset that women bring to every facet of running an organization," said Enclave Learning & Earning Center CEO John R. Dallas, Jr. "Enclave is very pleased to introduce this series of master classes because it aligns with our laser focus on changing the mindset of entrepreneurs and business leaders."
Munger's lecture, entitled, "Wanted: More, More, More Women in Leadership Roles for Public and Private Sectors," will address the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on women in the workforce and illuminate how women in management and leadership positions can play a critical role in rebuilding local, regional, national and global economies.
"At Enclave, our main focus is on the entrepreneurial mindset and prioritizing individuals first, ventures second, and profits third. We know that women in leadership roles, in general, embrace this approach, so it only makes sense to launch this lecture series for the benefit of regional business leaders who participate in Enclave programming," said Dallas.
The launch of the "Making A Point" master class series comes as Enclave marks the third anniversary of the opening of its 15,000 square-foot "Learning & Earning Center" at 75 Turner Avenue in Elk Grove Village.
Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson participated in tonight's master class and bestowed Ms. Munger with the first Exemplary Woman of 2020 award for years of leadership in the private and public sectors and for her ongoing support of entrepreneurs and the overall economic health and well-being of Elk Grove Village and the entire O'Hare region.
The bimonthly "Making A Point" series will take place both virtually and in-person and will run through June, 2021.
