Mary Edly-Allen Encourage Residents to Take Advantage of Free Mobile Testing

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. - Mary Edly-Allen (D-Libertyville) is encouraging residents to take advantage of free mobile testing sites in Lake County on October 21 and Thursday October 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"These tests are free for anyone who wants them, regardless of symptoms," said Edly-Allen. "Typically, the mobile sites can administer 500 tests per day although it varies by site."

On Wednesday, October 21, there will be a mobile testing site at the Libertyville High School from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Thursday, October 22, there will be a mobile testing site at Vernon Hills High School from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The mobile testing sites will be hosted by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Residents can take advantage of the free testing site, regardless of symptoms. The site will remain open while daily supplies last.

"We are still fighting through this pandemic," added Edly-Allen. "Our neighbors should continue to practice social distancing guidelines. We are in this together."
