District 57's second-grade teachers gave sunflower seeds to their students during remote learning last spring. The teachers from Fairview and Lions Park Schools in Mount Prospect told their students how much they missed them and that they hoped the seeds would be planted so the children and the sunflowers could grow together all summer long and into the new school year.

The sunflowers are now sprouting up all over town. These kids - now third-graders - grew some impressive sunflowers!
