Are you looking for high-quality Adult Education & Family Literacy classes?

Great news! Fall registration is open for District 214 Adult Education & Family Literacy classes and classes are free.

The District 214 Adult Education & Family Literacy program offers a large variety of classes that benefit individuals and families in various ways.

The free programs and classes we offer include Catherine M. Lee Women's & Children's Center, Citizenship Preparation, College and Career Ready, Early Childhood Preventative Initiative, English as a Second Language (ESL), GED Preparation, Health Career Pathways, Read to Learn and Spanish GED.

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, classes will be conducted in a hybrid mode, both on site at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights and online in Zoom meetings.

"Free quality education cannot be beat," said Julie Frost. "We strengthen skills in language, reading and math. Students can learn how to become engaged parents or become citizens. We are taking them on career pathways to earn credentials in manufacturing and pharmacy tech. There are so many programs to choose from."

More information will be provided at the in-person registration. All students need to register for a testing appointment.
