Laura Curtis to co-host community care package drive-thru for local families

Laura Curtis, candidate for State Representative in the 49th District, will co-host a Community Care Package Drive-Thru on Saturday, July 11, from 10-11 a.m. at Valley View Baptist Church in St. Charles.

Families and individuals will be provided with a care package that includes fresh Oberweis milk, RX water, masks, assorted food items from the H.E.L.P.S. Ministry Food Pantry, and valuable food coupons.

"As much despair as there has been in the past few months, I can't help but be uplifted by the signs of hope and the overwhelming generosity that I have seen from the families in our community," said Curtis. "I'm running for office to help the families of our community. This is just one more small way we can serve those in need."

Laura is sponsoring the event with local elected officials and candidates, including former State Rep. Jeanne Ives and State Sen. Jim Oberweis.

Laura Curtis is the Republican candidate for State Representative in the 49th House District. In recent months, Curtis has been active in the community hosting a food drive and raising funds for the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. She has also been an active supporter of small, local businesses, who are in need of loyal customers now more than ever.

The 49th is a suburban district in Illinois that includes parts of Aurora, Bartlett, Batavia, Elgin, Geneva, Naperville, North Aurora, South Elgin, St. Charles, Warrenville, Wayne, and West Chicago.
