Chapelstreet Church offers virtual worship, food pantry and wellness checks

Chapelstreet Church is not canceled; it is meeting in a variety of new and unique ways.

Worship services are held via livestream every Sunday starting at 9:15 a.m.

Families are encouraged to connect midweek during Wednesday Night Live at 7 p.m. This virtual service offers games, competitions, serving ideas, devotion, and worship.

On Fridays at 10 a.m., Chapelstreet Church offers a Facebook Live Prayer Experience where anyone is welcome to submit prayer requests.

In addition to innovative worship service and connection opportunities, Chapelstreet Church continues to meet the needs of their neighbors in creative ways. The Shepherd's Heart Care Center is the hands of the church reaching out to assist with essential needs of our community. This ministry provides resources such as food, emergency funds for crisis situations, and prayer partners. The food pantry remains open during the COVID-19 crisis as an essential service.

Chapelstreet staff has called over 500 senior adults performing wellness checks and are committed to providing ongoing support and connection. Using multiple online formats, the staff continues to provide points of connection, relevant content, and meaningful care for the children, students, families, moms, and seniors of the church.

Lead Pastor Jeff Frazier remarked, "Throughout history, staying faithful in prayer and service has always been one of the defining characteristics of Jesus' people. Whether it was caring for the sick during plagues, establishing the first hospitals, or caring for orphans, Jesus' followers have always led with service. When fear and anxiety rule, we tend to turn inward and have a "me first" mentality.

"However, our calling as a church is to be generous in all things. Our hope is not rooted in our ever-changing circumstances, but in the never-changing character of our sovereign God," Frazier said.

Shepherd's Heart Food Pantry hours are Tuesdays from noon to 2 p.m.; Wednesdays from 9 to 11 a.m.; and Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
