Palatine Township open and will continue to provide services to residents of Palatine Township

Palatine Township will remain open and continue to provide services to residents of Palatine Township during the State of Emergency declared by the Governor.

Our Township procedures have been modified to continue to assist those in need, the infirmed, and elderly, and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the public, staff and volunteers.

The Palatine Township Food Pantry will remain open to serve the community and will continue to accept donations. Current Food Pantry clients are being contacted directly with our modified procedures and we will continue to offer our choice food pantry selections to be sure food needed, is received.

The Township Transportation Department will be limited to transporting seniors and the disabled to dialysis and other medical appointments, to obtain medication, and to the grocery store on a needed basis.

"It is important the residents know we are still, and will always be there to assist them in their most challenging times." Said Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson.

The Assessor's office will assist with questions regarding all exemptions (Senior, Homeowner, Disabled and Disabled Veterans) as well as with the Senior Freeze over the phone. All forms will be mailed directly to the homeowner for a signature and include a postage paid envelope to mail back to the Township.

Any Palatine Township resident in need of assistance in anyway, can contact the Township for information. Township services require applications to be on file for food pantry, transportation, and financial assistance. Any resident can access those forms on the Township Website at www.palatinetownship-il.gov and email the forms to return to be processed. We are conducting appointments via a webcast so to limit the person to person contact.

Respectfully, we ask individuals that are not feeling well to avoid coming the Township Facility. We will make accommodations to work through webcams, email, and other available technology. For those who do not have access for electronic means, we will work through other ways to get them the assistance needed.
