Kaneland names Hall of Fame inductees

Kaneland's Hall of Fame honors and recognizes alumni, staff members, organizations and supporters who have demonstrated excellence and commitment of service to District 302 communities and have each proven themselves to be an inspiration and role model to the students.

This year, the Hall of Fame Committee is proud induct many new members.

Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremonies.

On Monday, May 4, as part of Kaneland High School's Academic Achievement Awards/Hall of Fame, Sheila Howard Albano (Class of 1984) will be inducted in the category of Service, and Diana Jaskierny (Class of 2002) in the category of Personal Achievement. The ceremony will be at 7 p.m. in the Kaneland High School auditorium. There will be a dessert reception prior to the induction at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium lobby.

On Monday, May 11, Maria Dripps-Paulson will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the category of Commitment during the Senior Recital/Music Awards program. It will begin at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. A reception will take place in the auditorium lobby at 5:30 p.m., just prior to the event.

On Wednesday, May 20, the following individuals/teams will be inducted in the categories of Individual Athletic Achievement or Teamwork at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. A dessert reception will take place at 5:30 in the cafeteria. They are: Phil Christensen (2008); Ryan West (1998); Jim Bishop (1975); Logan Markuson (2010); Nick Sinon (2010); 2010 4 x 400-meter relay team (Tommy Whittaker, Derek Bus, Edgar Valle and Logan Markuson); and the 2010 Boys' Track Team
