Interstate Batteries unveils branded lab at UTI Lisle campus

On Thursday, Feb. 6, Universal Technical Institute hosted national battery brand Interstate Batteries as they revealed their new lab space at the Lisle campus.

UTI and Interstate both share a passion for the technicians of today and tomorrow, and through their partnership, Interstate helps deliver the latest technology and curriculum to help technician students excel in their education across their campuses nationwide - and Lisle is no exception.

In addition to a branded lab space on each UTI campus, Interstate provides batteries and battery testers for all of UTI's automotive and diesel technician training campuses, giving students hands-on experience with the products they will use on the job.

"The ribbon cutting ceremony was awesome," said UTI Lisle student Adam Gustafson. "The partnership between Universal Technical Institute and Interstate Batteries provides a vast variety of opportunities for students."

During the lab opening, Interstate met with UTI students and discussed their passion for the industry as well as their love for NASCAR - which led to Interstate donating a singed Kyle Busch helmet to the campus. Interstate is proud of its partnership with UTI and thrilled it has now become an official part of the Lisle campus.

"To see companies like Interstate Batteries supporting our education shows us students that we are appreciated and acknowledged by the industry," said UTI Lisle student Zachary Michalak. "The batteries donated to the school will hold the charge we need to be successful in what we do day by day at UTI.

"Thank you Interstate Batteries for being another foundation for the future," Michalak said.

Universal Technical Institute-Lisle is located at 2611 Corporate West Drive. To learn more about UTI, visit www.uti.edu/locations/illinois/lisle.
