NAMI to offer mental health education forum Feb. 13

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Kane-south, DeKalb & Kendall Counties will host a Mental Health Education Event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Kendall County Health Department's Room WIC, 811 W. John St. in Yorkville.

"Addressing Substance Use as a Family" will be presented by Lisa Holch, mental health and substance abuse clinician.

Topics include: how to talk to loved ones about concerns; where to get and find help; addressing own needs/stress regarding concern for loved ones; learning about signs and changes of a person in recovery; and mental health resources.

All are welcome. Registration is suggested by emailing education@namikdk.org or calling (630) 896-6264.
