Figure skating legend Scott Hamilton comes to Christ Community Church Feb. 8-9

Christ Community Church in St. Charles invites you to a special "Inspiring Stories Weekend" Feb. 8-9 with figure skating legend Scott Hamilton. Hamilton has won 70 figure-skating titles, awards, and honors including an Emmy Award nomination and induction into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame and World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

In 1984, Scott captured the attention of the world with his Olympic gold medal performances in Sarajevo and since has shared his love and enthusiasm for the sport as an analyst/commentator, performer, producer and best-selling author "Finish First: Winning Changes Everything" (2018); "The Great Eight" (2009); and "Landing It" (1999). He further inspires others as a speaker, humanitarian, and as a cancer and pituitary brain tumor survivor.

This powerful interview about hope during the darkest times will be shared live on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9 and 11 a.m., at Christ Community's St. Charles Campus, located at the northwest corner of Randall Road and Bolcum Road. Both services will include live worship music and the interview.

The interview also will be shown via livestream at Christ Community's Aurora, DeKalb, and Streamwood campuses during their regular weekend services. There is no charge or ticket required to attend any of the services. All are welcome.

The church is passionate about loving God and loving people. Our mission is to make passionate disciples of Jesus Christ who are belonging, growing, serving, and reaching.

Christ Community Church started in 1984 as a group of six couples who met regularly for Bible study. Now, over 5,000 weekend attendees meet on four campuses in the western suburbs of Chicago: the Aurora campus, the Streamwood campus, the DeKalb campus, and our original campus in St. Charles.
