Celebrate Highwood hosts Elf Invasion Pub Crawl

After a successful inaugural event, Celebrate Highwood is once again encouraging all elves to come out to the second annual "Elf Invasion Pub Crawl" starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

The public is invited to channel their inner elf, dress the part, and join the pack of elves as they visit five of Highwood's most popular establishments to enjoy live music, food and drink specials, and raffle prizes at each participating venue.

Registration is $20 and includes a commemorative "Elf Invasion Pub Crawl" glass and five raffle tickets. Each venue will offer drink specials and raffle prizes. To register, visit www.CelebrateHighwood.org.

See below for the Elf Invasion schedule at each venue. The raffle drawing will occur at the end of the hour for each location:

• 28 Mile Vodka & Distillery, 454 Sheridan Road, 7-8 p.m. Live music by Felix & Fingers Dueling Pianos. Specials: $5 28 Mile Vodka Sodas & 28 Mile Vodka Rocks; $5 Grilled Salami & Avocado Bruschetta Small Plates.

• The Humble Pub, 336 Green Bay Road, 8-9 p.m. Live music by The Westerlees. Specials: Garlic chicken and rib tip specials from Keep It Hot Catering featuring Celebrate Highwood's Garlic Fest winner Chef Keith.

• The Toadstool Pub, 327 Waukegan Ave., from 9-10 p.m. Live music by Zydeco Voodoo. Specials: $4 Santa Shots.

• Teddy O'Brian's, 432 Sheridan Road, 10-11 p.m. Live music by Sean Briskey and Kevin Campbell (members of The Mudmen/Stampy/Brooklyn Charmers/Cream Puff Warriors). Specials: $4 Fireball Shots.

• The Wooden Nickel, 444 Lakeview Ave., 11 p.m. to close. Kara-Moe-ke Dance Party. Specials: $4 Kamikaze Shots (late night snack options available).
