Donate to Palatine Township toy drive

Donations of new, unwrapped toys or gifts for in-need Palatine Township children and young adults for the annual toy drive are being accepted now through Dec. 20 at the Township Center, 721 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.

Families who will benefit from this effort include new township residents, as well as those who missed deadlines for other holiday giving programs that are sponsored by Palatine Township. Donated toys or gifts should be appropriate for ages 16 years and younger.

"Our township residents continually make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate throughout the year, and the holiday season is no exception," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson.

"Our yearly toy drive helps in-need families to enjoy the gift of giving and lets them know that their community cares about them."

Individuals who would like to donate toys or gifts do not need to sign up in advance. They are asked to drop off donations during normal township business hours: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays; 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays; and 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

For details, call (847) 358-6700 or visit palatinetownship-il.gov/toy-drive.
