Northbrook's Celebration of Cultures Showcases Local Diversity
The Village of Northbrook's Community Relations Commission (CRC), in partnership with the North Suburban YMCA, hosted its annual free Celebration of Cultures on Sunday, November 3rd at North Suburban YMCA. Hundreds of community members enjoyed food, entertainment, and crafts of cultures from all over the world. This year's celebration included entertainment by local performers including the Campanella Choir and the Chicago Korean Dance Company, a food truck from 5411 Empandas, cultural stations from across the world with representatives from China, Mexico, India, Persia, Russia, and South Korea, plus an opportunity to taste traditional food samples and talk to representatives about their diverse cultures.
