Hosanna! Lutheran Church in St. Charles will once again be a regional drop off site for the international Operation Christmas Child.

This project of international Christian relief organization Samaritan's Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org) has collected and hand-delivered more than 100 million shoe box gifts to hurting kids in over 130 countries since 1993.

This ministry helps to spread hope and brings joy to millions of needy boys and girls throughout the world during the Christmas season.

Shoe boxes filled with age-appropriate small gifts can be dropped off at Hosanna! starting Nov. 18 through Nov. 24.

Drop-off hours are: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 and Thursday, Nov. 21; 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 and Friday, Nov. 22; 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20; and 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 23-24.

Gift selections to put in the shoe boxes include small toys, school supplies, hygiene items (no candy, toothpaste, gum, war related toy items, food, snacks, liquid or powdered drink mixes, lotions, medications/vitamins or breakable items please) and a special note of encouragement.

A suggested donation of $9 would also be appreciated to help cover the shipping cost.
