Showcase your ghoulish creativity with Halloween House Decorating Contest

Decorate your house to be the creepiest, spookiest and most frightful sight in the neighborhood with Schaumburg Park District's Halloween House Decorating Contest.

Contest entry forms can be found at parkfun.com and must be submitted by 9 p.m., Oct. 19 to kabenson@parkfun.com or turned in at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

"Residents really go above and beyond and take pride in decorating their homes for this contest," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manger. "In previous years, people have incorporated music and other special effects to create a unique and spooky experience."

Houses must be located within Schaumburg Park District boundaries and be decorated prior to Oct. 23. The first 10 houses entered will be judged by participants of the sold-out Halloween House Decorating Tour.

Winning entrants will be posted on parkfun.com and Schaumburg Park District's social media channels.
