The District 57 community is invited to an open house at Fairview School, 300 N. Fairview Ave., in Mount Prospect, on Thursday, Oct. 17, before the school board meeting. Community members can informally tour the new addition between 6:15 and 7 p.m. and see how the space has enabled the District 57 to better serve the students of today and tomorrow.

The addition, which was completed prior to the start of this school year, includes four modern classrooms, an expanded Multipurpose Room and added storage. The project was undertaken to address overcrowding and expanding enrollment.

District administrators and school board members thank the community for supporting the local schools and making this exciting project possible. They look forward to welcoming all residents who would like to see the finished product during the open house.

Following the open house, the school board meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Fairview Multipurpose Room, and community members are welcome to attend.
