Sign up by Oct. 3 for NAMI's 5K in Batavia
Whether you run, walk, or jog, the distance you cover during NAMI's 5K in downtown Batavia will be good exercise for a good cause.
The NAMI 5K is a benefit for NAMI Kane-south, DeKalb, and Kendall counties, a nonprofit, grass-roots, self-help, support and advocacy organization of consumers, families, and friends of people with mental illness.
The race will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8. Arrive early to ensure everyone can start the race together. Following the race, top finishers in each age division will receive a medal.

Advance registration is $35.
Race Time will be providing chip timing for every participant. In addition, runners will receive the following benefits:
• High quality fuchsia technical race shirt with white lettering, guaranteed for everyone pre-registering.
• Undated reserved seat ticket voucher for the Kane County Cougars.
• Fantastic trophies and medals for top finishers.
• A beautiful run or walk along the Fox River Trail to benefit NAMI KDK.

If you prefer to register the morning of the race, race day registration will be available from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, near the packet pickup area. The race begins at 9 a.m.
Feel free to bring your friends and family to run or walk with you.
Packet pickup will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Peg Bond Center, 100 N. Island Ave., Batavia. Volunteers and signs will guide you to the appropriate location to pick up your race bib and T-shirt.
Runners also may pickup their race bib and shirt on the morning of the race from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
