Schaumburg library branches offering flu shots

Flu shots for anyone age 6 months and older will be available on three dates in October at the Schaumburg Township District Library's locations in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park.

The vaccines are free with most insurance providers and will be administered by the Jewel-Osco Pharmacy Team.

No registration is required, but anyone getting a vaccine should bring a medical insurance card.

Children, teens and adults can receive flu shots from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, on the first floor of the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

The next session will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Hanover Park Branch Library, 1266 Irving Park Road in Hanover Park.

The final flu shots will be administered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Hoffman Estates Branch Library, 1550 Hassell Road in Hoffman Estates.
