Lavelle Law Offers Free Legal Workshop for Businesses in the Food Industry

Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law will host a free legal workshop for restaurants, grocery stores and other organizations in the food industry on October 24th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the firm's Schaumburg office location,1933 North Meacham Road. The seminar will take place in Suite 127.

The seminar will be led by Lavelle Law founding partner, Kerry Lavelle, and attorneys Joseph Vito, Joshua Nesser and Ted McGinn. The seminar will cover important legal topics present in the food industry, including commercial leases, OSHA/WC defense and employment relations. There will also be a quick primer on contracts as well as a Q&A session, so guests are encouraged to bring their legal questions.

"There are so many nuances to the laws and regulations surrounding the food and grocery industries that business owners and food distributors can't be expected to know everything," said founding partner, Kerry Lavelle. "We're hoping this seminar will shed some light on key legal issues and help business owners know what to look out for."

Lavelle Law has served the Chicagoland community for over 25 years. This free event is part of a monthly seminar series in which the Lavelle attorneys welcome businesses in the Schaumburg community to their office and offer legal insights specific to an industry.

"Getting involved in the community and giving back is a long-established tradition here at Lavelle Law," said Lavelle. "We believe it is our responsibility to educate the public and business owners about complex legal matters that might not otherwise come up until it's too late. This seminar is one of many initiatives in which we can reach out to our neighbors and share our knowledge."

Registration for the Food Industry Legal Workshop is required as seating is limited. Coffee and bagels will be available at the event. To register, email Danielle Palermo at dpalermo@lavellelaw.com.
