'Meet the Moths' nature program offered Sept. 6

Learn about the many species of moths that inhabit Illinois at "Meet the Moths," a part of the "Learn from the Experts" program series, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Hickory Knolls Discovery Center in St. Charles.

This program will begin with slides that will show some of the area's more common moth families. Then, it will finish with a field session where participants will visit various stations that are outfitted with moth attractants.

Advance registration is required. The registration fee is $10 per person. To register, call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com.

Hickory Knolls Discovery Center is at 3795 Campton Hills Drive, St. Charles.

The Forest Preserve District of Kane County teams up with the St. Charles Park District and the Geneva Park District to offer "Learn from the Experts" programs. These classes are for ages 18 or older, focusing on a variety of topics in local ecology.
