FSD79 Students Demonstrate Widespread Academic Growth

Fremont School District 79 students demonstrated the highest academic growth on record dating back to the 2012-2013 academic year, as measured by ECRA Group. Student growth data for the 2018-2019 academic year at FSD79 met or exceeded expected growth in all schools, grade levels, subject areas, and demographic subgroups. This composite growth measure incorporates mathematics, reading, and writing.

FSD79 partners with ECRA Group, a research and analytics firm, to measure student growth, which is calculated based on performance on the NWEA MAP assessment and the Illinois Assessment of Readiness.

"This is a celebration and recognition of all our teachers, staff, and students across the District," said FSD79 Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bill Robertson. "Increased student growth and achievement is a key priority for our District and continues to be one of the focus areas of our day-to-day work."
