Nashville Recording Artist Brina Kay Releases Chicago Inspired Summer Anthem

Nashville, TN. - Nashville singer and songwriter Brina Kay released her third single "Heat of the Moment" at midnight on Friday, July 26th. Produced by Mike Anderson, a Nashville-based composer and producer, "Heat of the Moment" is currently available on most streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Google Play.)

"Heat of the Moment" was inspired by the city of Chicago; near the singer's hometown Schaumburg (a nearby suburb.) Brina Kay said memories of going downtown with family and friends for sporting events, concerts and music festivals (specifically the city's annual Lollapalooza) influenced the song's production and lyrics.

"Creating this song was so much fun", said Brina Kay. "We started with the instrumental just trying to convey a feeling. I wanted to capture the city's unique character and the way Chicagoans embrace the summertime. We truly give it our all because we know that horrible winters are right around the corner. That idea then morphed into these two characters falling into a blossoming romance. At the end of the day, I'm just happy to represent the city I love, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out."

This single will also be accompanied by a music video filmed in Chicago and directed by Joshua Lockhart of J. Lockhart Media.

Last March, Brina Kay released her first single out of Nashville "Horizon", which has surpassed 45,000 streams on Spotify and was nominated for the "Best Singing" and "Best Song" awards the SongBro podcast. Her second single "Rome" was released in June and she is set to release a fourth in August.
