Eclectic musical mix at Summer Entertainment Series in Lisle

Submitted by Lisle Park District

Lisle Park District's second annual Summer Entertainment Series will feature an eclectic lineup of local bands.

After a successful first year, the free series is back again beginning in mid-July.

The four-week series will feature a different band each week at Lisle Community Park's Van Kampen Memorial Stage, 1800 Short St. All performances are 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Everett Dean & Lonesome Hearts will kick things off July 17 with their rockabilly, hip-hop and electronic style.

Anthem, a classic rock and beyond cover band, will play July 24.

Boy Band Review, a boy band tribute band, will take the stage on July 31.

Local favorite Call Me Jo (formerly Next Tuesday Band) will play acoustic versions of pop, rock, and country hits on Aug. 7 for the Lisle Community Night.

Each concert will have food and drinks available for purchase. Lisle High School's parking lot will be closed for construction, but free parking will be available at Sea Lion Aquatic Park, 1825 Short St.; Community Center, 1825 Short St.; and Recreation Center, 1925 Ohio St., Lisle. Overflow parking will be available at Tee Time Golf Range, 1400 Maple Ave., for a nominal fee.
