Mount Prospect River TrailsMS students gave their teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support local education and their community.

Fun-loving teachers from River Trails Middle School in Mount Prospect School District 26 volunteered on Wednesday, May 22nd at the Mount Prospect McDonald's located on Rand Road, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for their school. The highlight of the night was an appearance by band members playing the steel drums. The restaurant was packed with students and parents that were amazed by the band's rockin' performance!

Keir Rogers, Principal of River Trails Middle School, was at the event the entire night mingling with the families. Jeannine Wagner and Mandy Zavilla worked the drive-thru window with the McDonald's staff, collecting donations and delivering orders. Neuses and Malesky wore the apple pie box during the night while alongside them several other teachers sold pies and did a fabulous job raising funds for the school!

Principal Rogers did an outstanding job working hard throughout the night and coordinating the event with McDonald's. The proceeds from the sale of pies, donated by David Bear Owner -Operator of the Mount ProspectMcDonald's, went directly to benefit the students. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were donated directly to River Trails Middle School.

The River Trails community has an amazing network of support for their school, McDonald's was busy the entire evening enjoying the beautiful weather and wonderful event!
