The world is 99.9 percent polio free, with only 20 cases last year in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria. Polio is still only a plane ride away from coming back to the U.S. until it is totally eradicated elsewhere.

The Huntley Rotary Club meets at 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Pinecrest Golf Club, 11220 Algonquin Road in Huntley. Check the website in advance to see if the club is having a social or doing community service.
