Jerry Doetsch, Residential Real Estate Broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRulboff Realty Group Named 2018 Glenview Citizen of the Year

Jerry Doetsch, residential real estate broker with the Glenview office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group, was named the 2018 Glenview Citizen of the Year. Jerry and all of the other Glenview Civic Award recipients were celebrated at an event held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Delta Hotel in Glenview.

The wording on the award stated, "2018 Glenview Citizen of the Year Award Presented to Jerry Doetsch in honor of your outstanding involvement, selfless dedication and continuing commitment when providing assistance and care to members of the Glenview community. This award is given with heartfelt thanks from the Service Organizations and Citizens of Glenview, Illlinois."

Michael Mazzei, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Broker of the Glenview office, who nominated Jerry along with many others from the community, said, "I'm pleased to congratulate Jerry on this most prestigious of awards. He lives, eats and breathes Glenview. Our village is a much better place to live and raise a family due to Jerry's community-specific contributions and his long list of volunteer accomplishments."

Jerry, a third generation REALTORĀ® whose family has been selling real estate in Glenview since the 1940s, works along with this mother Janet and father Matt as the Doetsch Team. He earned his real estate license in 1994 and was named the firm's Glenview Rookie of the Year in 1995. Since then, he has received numerous sales excellence awards. In 2014, 2015 and 2016, he received the President's Circle Award at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group. In 2018, the Doetsch Team received the Chairman's Circle Gold Award, placing them among the top 2% of brokers in the global network.

Outside of real estate, Jerry has been active in the Glenview Chamber of Commerce. He served as their president from 2013-2015. He served on their Board as an officer and director for the past 10 years. Also for the past 10 years, he has run the Holiday in the Park Parade. Jerry has served on the Advisory Board for Wesley Child Care since 2009 and has been a member of their Board of Directors since 2017. He has been a member of the Glenview Optimist Club since 1995, serving as its President from 2011 to 2013. He has been a member of their Board for the last 15 years, received the Life Member Award in 2015 and received the Glenview Optimist Club President's Awards in 2014, 2015 and 2016. For the Glenview Park District, Jerry served on the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee and is a member of the Glenview Men's Golf Club. For Glenview School District 34, he served on the 34 Next Facilitating Team Community Outreach and is a big supporter of Character Counts. Also active in youth sports, Jerry was a past assistant baseball and flag football coach. He was an active parent participant at St. Catherine Laboure and was an active parent participant and supporter of Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
