Harper pottery sale features student, faculty pieces

The Harper College Clay Guild will once again hold its spring pottery sale, offering the public a chance to shop for one-of-a-kind pieces.

The sale, featuring professional-quality art at bargain prices, runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, and Thursday, April 25, in the main concourse of the Avanté Center on the college's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

Original items made by local artisans, students and employees range from plates, mugs and vases to wall décor, garden sculptures, jewelry and more. Cash and personal checks will be accepted as payment.

Harper regularly offers credit courses and Continuing Education classes in ceramics. The programs draw a variety of students of all ages, from art majors to community members looking to explore and expand their creativity.
