Hop on Over to the Bunny Rock 5K & Egg Hunt - Saturday, April 13 at Hawthorn Mall
Grab some bunny who loves you and join the FIRST EVER Bunny Rock 5K Walk/Run and Egg Hunt starting at Hawthorn Mall in the Dave & Buster's parking lot, in Vernon Hills on Saturday, April 13, 2019. The 5K starts at 8:30 a.m., and an egg hunt for children ages 2-10 begins at 9:45 a.m. This event is hosted by event management company, Adrenaline Special Events (ASE).
Participants can hop, skip, walk or run to the finish line sporting bunny ears, neon sunglasses and dri-fit t-shirt, all provided with registration. The egg hunt will include 3000 candy filled eggs and be accompanied by a live petting zoo with more than 20 animals - including ducks, goats, lambs and more! Opportunities to take pictures with the Easter Bunny will also be available. Egg hunt participants will receive bunny ears and sunglasses, as well as a basket to collect their eggs.
"We're thrilled to be bringing some Easter cheer to Hawthorn Mall through this first year event," said Aaron Del Mar, ASE founder. "There's really something for everyone to enjoy at Bunny Rock!"
Awards and customized Bunny Rock 5K medals will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers of each age group. The top three overall finishers - both male and female - will also receive a customized Bunny Rock mug.
Proceeds from this inaugural event will benefit Reach Rescue, Inc., a local not-for-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing, fostering and sheltering homeless animals.
