Schaumburg native Brina Kay releases debut single out of Nashville

Nashville singer, songwriter and now recording artist Brina Kay is set to release her first single "Horizon" at midnight on Friday, March 8.

Produced by Mike Anderson, a Nashville composer and producer originally from Denver, the song is currently available for preorder and presave on most streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Google Play.)

As a frequent traveler, Brina Kay found inspiration for her single during an early morning flight out of Nashville.

This single celebrates those who have the courage to chase their dreams despite naysayers and nonbelievers.

"I'm very excited about this new single. It's hands down my favorite song I've written and now produced," said Brina Kay. "This single has a very personal connection to me because of my dad who has worked for the airlines, and it was cool to pull from my personal experiences into my new single."

Surrounding the release, she is featuring submitted fan photos of sunsets with highlights of her song lyrics from "Horizon" on her Instagram page.

Brina Kay recently graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2017 and spent the summer performing with the Nebraska band, Gunnison Drive Band. Since moving to Nashville, she plays at writer's rounds on Nashville's famous Lower Broadway and is in production with Anderson on four additional new singles set to come out in April, May, and July. Brina was born and raised in Schaumburg, Illinois, and attended Schaumburg High School.
