Knights to Host Free Throw Contest January 21

The Knights of Columbus will host a Free Throw Contest on Monday, Jan. 21, at Our Lady of Wayside Catholic School, 432 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights. This date is also a National Holiday as we celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Registration will start at 12:30 p.m. and competition will start at 1 p.m. This event is open to all girls and boys, 9 to 14 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2019. An adult's signature will be accepted as proof of age at this initial competition level. However, a copy of a birth certificate will be required for each winner progressing to the next level.

Participant will compete in their respective age/gender division. All contestants on Jan. 21 will receive a basketball patch while each age/gender division winner will receive a trophy.

Age/gender winners will be invited to participate at the next level on Saturday,Feb. 23, at St. Raymond de Penafort School, in Mount Prospect. Completion levels progress from District to Regional to State.
