Wheeling High School Jazz Bands Present An Evening of Jazz

On Sunday, Jan. 20, the award-winning Wheeling High School Jazz program will perform at 210 Live in Highwood. The Jazz Combo, Jazz Band 2, and the Critically-Acclaimed Jazz Band 1 will perform starting at 5:30 p.m.

Jazz Band 1 will be previewing their 2019 Illinois All-State performance music before they perform later that week on January 24th downstate. They were one of two bands selected in Illinois to perform at the Illinois Music Education Conference at the end of January in Peoria, IL. The jazz bands will share the evening with tenor saxophonist Alex Beltran and his "No Coast" Quintet.

The concert is At 210 Live located at 210 Green Bay Road, Highwood, IL 60040. Cover Charge is $10 and proceeds go to the Alex Beltran "No Coast" Quintet. CD's from Wheeling's Jazz Band and Alex Beltran's Quintet will be on sale. You can buy tickets at the door or online at: 210live.com/WheelingJazz
