Palatine Park District To Host Job Fair At Community Center On December 20

Palatine Park District offers opportunities for many part-time year-round and seasonal positions in a variety of different areas, including aquatics, athletics, parks, facilities, and programming. The District's second annual Job Fair will be held at Community Center, 250 E. Wood Street, in Palatine on Thursday, December 20 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. The event will provide the opportunity for attendees to meet supervisors and learn more about various positions with the District.

Program instructors are needed for before and after school child care, early childhood, cultural arts, adult dance at Harper College, and parent/tot courses. Parks and facility staff are needed in customer service, groundskeeping, and more. The District also offers opportunities at several specialty facilities, including Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, Palatine Hills Golf Course, and Palatine Stables.

Lifeguards, pool managers, swim instructors, pool attendants, and swim team coaches are needed for the District's three seasonal outdoor pools and one year-round indoor pool. Other seasonal employment offerings include field supervisors, horticulture, camp counselors, camp site directors, umpires, and referees.

Jobs range from entry level to experience required. Some positions have age restrictions, and some positions can require a physical, drug screening, and/or a background check. Attendees on December 20 will receive a Job Fair Passport which can be used to enter a free raffle upon completion.
