Mount Prospect Loose Leaf Collection to End for the Season Nov. 27

The Village of Mount Prospect's loose-leaf collection program will end for the season the week of November 27. The Village had extended the program by two weeks this year to accommodate the late leaf drop. The program normally ends the Friday before Thanksgiving.

Public Works crews will make their final clean sweep of the Village starting on Monday, November 26th. The final loose leaf collection will take place on Friday, December 1st. The Monday area will have their last collection on the 26th. The last Tuesday collection will be on November 27th and the last Wednesday collection will be November 28. The Thursday and Friday areas will have their last collections on November 30th and December 1st, respectively.

After Friday, November 30, leaves should not be placed in the street. Leaves should be placed in biodegradable kraft paper bags or a rigid container and set at the curb on your normal refuse collection day. The bagged leaf collection program will continue until December 14th.

Residents' cooperation and patience is greatly appreciated. Please contact Public Works at 847-870-5640 or publicworksdept@mountprospect.org with questions or for additional information.
