No tricks, just treats at Halloween Boonanza in Schaumburg

Come as you aren't and enjoy a fun-filled evening at Schaumburg Park District's Halloween Boonanza, presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank.

The event is set for 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the newly renovated Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road and Safety Park. The facility will be transformed into a Halloween carnival featuring a haunted train ride, costume contest, games, prizes and entertainment. Trick-or-treating will take place at Safety Park.

"Join us as we kick off Halloween weekend with one of our biggest events," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor. "Enjoy crafts and face-painting and be sure to dress up for the chance to win the costume contest!"

Event is for children ages 2 to 14 years old. Preregistration deadline is 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25.

Cost is $10 per child. Fee includes all activities except concessions. Day-of cost is $12. Admission is free to parents and children 2 years old and younger.
