League to host candidates twice in October

The League of Women Voters, Downers Grove, Woodridge, Lisle Chapter, is partnering with Benedictine University to host a "Meet and Greet" of local candidates running for office this November.

The event will take place on two Sundays in October in Daniel L. Goodwin Hall on the university campus, 5700 College Road, Lisle.

County candidates will meet constituents from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.

Federal and state candidates will meet with voters from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21.

The meeting is open to all to learn about the candidates and issues. Residents can meet individually with candidates.

The event is co-sponsored with the political science department of Benedictine University.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to making democracy work through voter education, issue advocacy and citizen participation.
