Schaumburg Seeking Community Photographs Through New Program: Schaumburg Snapshot

The Village of Schaumburg is launching a new program, Schaumburg Snapshot, which allows the public to submit still images of their favorite photos of the community as a way to foster engagement and celebrate the beauty of Schaumburg.

Photographers of all ages and skill levels are invited to submit their favorite photos of people, places, architecture and scenes within the Village of Schaumburg by uploading their images to the village's website at www.bitly.com/schaumburgsnapshot. Examples can include photos of Schaumburg's diverse environment and landscape; various architecture and businesses; people participating in cultural and community activities, and more.

There is no cost to submit a photo and participants can upload as many photos as they wish. The program will run indefinitely so the public can share its favorite images year-round with the village. Select images may have the opportunity to appear in village communications such as printed publications, social media channels and the village's website.

Submitted photos should be in a JPEG file format submitted on the village's website using the online form. Only digital formats will be accepted; the village will not accept hard copies of photos. High-resolution, landscape images are preferred; however, vertical images will also be accepted. Photos must be taken within the Village of Schaumburg, and the subject matter must be in good taste.

For questions about this program, please contact Communications Manager Allison Albrecht at aalbrecht@schaumburg.com or dial 311 in the village.
