Lazarus House to host free Community Concert Sept. 22

Lazarus House will sponsor its first "The Need is Now" community concert. Relax with family and friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Lincoln Park in St. Charles. This event will feature music by "Betsy Petrie & The Souvenirs." They will entertain you with long-lost classic songs of the 1960s, '70s and '80s.

Bring a cooler and blanket or chairs, learn more about Lazarus House and enjoy music that's the "oldies, but goodies."

Lazarus House is a not-for-profit Emergency Shelter, Center for Transitional Living, and Outreach Program. They provide hospitality, food, safe shelter and support to men, women, and children who are homeless or in crisis from Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and western rural Kane County. Lazarus House offers everyone who comes to their doors the opportunity for hope and a future.

Lazarus House utilizes the services of the people in the area who volunteer, donate, support job placements and attend fundraising events. Check the website at lazarushouse.net to see how you can be a part of neighbors helping neighbors in the community.
