The district will host a public information meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora.

Some of the proposed improvements include enhancing the natural habitats; upgrading the lakefront; providing enhanced recreation; and reconfiguring parking/circulation.

The public is encouraged to attend this open house and share comments.

District staff will be available to answer questions.

Oral and written comments and questions will be accepted. Comments may also be submitted electronically via the district's website at www.kaneforest.com.

This improvement project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development grant program.
