Annual free well and septic seminars offered Sept. 20

Are you a homeowner with a well and/or septic system? Do you know how these systems work? Do you know how to properly care for your well and septic system?

If your answer to one or both of the last two questions is no, join the Kane County Health Department's free Well and Septic Seminar for Homeowners. Due to the popularity of the seminars in the past, a second seminar has been added to accommodate demand.

The seminar will be held at 2 and 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at University of Illinois Extension Office, 535 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Due to the program's popularity, call ahead and reserve a seat by calling the Kane County Health Department at (630) 444-3040.

If you reach voicemail, leave your name, phone number, address and reason for calling and you will be placed on the list.

One free water sample test kit will be given to each household that is supported by well water.

Bring all of your questions as a short Q&A session will be held after the presentation.
