Join Fox Valley Hands of Hope 13th annual 5K to Remember Sept. 15

Honor a loved one at Fox Valley Hands of Hope's 13th annual 5K to Remember on Saturday, Sept. 15, in downtown Batavia. Participants will be taking a walk or run to remember a loved one.

The 5K is a time when family and friends gather on a crisp fall morning and walk the Fox River loop in honor or in memory of a loved one. The comfortable and beautiful 5K course will start at the Peg Bond Center in downtown Batavia. It can be completed by most in under an hour.

The event will begin at 10 a.m., with participant check-in starting at 8:30 a.m.

The advance registration fee is $25 for age 13 or older. It is $15 for children, age 5 to 12, and free for children under the age of 5. Online registration closes on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

On-site registration will incur an additional $10 fee. All participants will receive a free Fox Valley Hands of Hope bandana and those that fundraise a minimum of $75 will receive an Fox Valley Hands of Hope drawstring bag.

In addition to the 5K, the event will include family-friendly entertainment, activities and a variety of incentive prizes and other giveaways.

Participants can register for the 5K to Remember online by visiting the Fox Valley Hands of Hope's website, www.fvhh.net/our-events/a-walk-to-remember/. From there, individuals can register, build teams, and collect donations from their own fundraising page in just minutes.
