Schaumburg library to pack, provide care items

The Schaumburg Township District Library will collect five types of personal care items to be placed in care kits for the food pantries in Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54, as well as the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry.

The collection will run from Monday, Feb. 26, through Thursday, March 22, at all three library locations in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park.

Library patrons of all ages are invited to pack up the items from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24, in the workshop on first floor of the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Volunteers will fill bags with one of each item on the list. Items to be collected are: full-size toothpaste, toothbrushes (single or two-packs), wet wipes soft packs of 25 to 50, combs and full-size deodorant.
