Glenbard South's band, color guard heading to Orlando

Glenbard South High School's band and color guard are heading to Orlando, where they will give a marching performance down Main Street USA at Disney World and participate in clinics.

On Saturday, March 3, students will give a marching performance down Main Street USA in Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park, as a part of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.

On Sunday, March 4, Glenbard South's Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Color Guard will be engaged in separate clinic opportunities through the Disney Performing Arts Division. Concert and Symphonic Band each will participate in a You're Instrumental workshop in which they will be sight-reading, rehearsing and recording musical excerpts that will be synced with a Disney animated feature.

The Color Guard will work with choreographers in an Auxilliaration workshop using props and equipment to supplement a performance feature of their own.
