Indian Knoll Elementary School from District 33 in West Chicago held their annual McTeacher's Night

Indian Knoll Elementary School from District 33 in West Chicago held their annual McTeacher's Night at the West Chicago McDonald's on North Ave. on Tuesday, November 7th. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school.

On Tuesday the restaurant was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for Indian Knoll Elementary School. The students and families were excited to see their teachers behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.

Eighteen teachers and staff members worked from the elementary school. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, and serving ice cream cones--all duties which were executed with great enthusiasm.

The Indian Knoll Timberwolf stopped by to enjoy the festivities and meet the students and staff members. The students enjoyed getting their picture taken with the mascot and giving high fives!

A special thank you goes to Indian Knoll Elementary School PTO Members, Melissa Kud and Jen Boorsma who organized the event as well as everyone that worked and attended the event. Indian Knoll Elementary School teachers worked hard and with excitement, while the families enjoyed a spectacular evening.

Indian Knoll Elementary School plans to use the money raised for student's activities, field trips, and extracurricular clubs. Indian Knoll Elementary School raised $431 at the event.
