Give fall a warm welcome with Harvest Bonfire

Greet the season of pumpkin spice and everything nice with a bonfire at Schaumburg Park District's Volkening Heritage Farm.

Harvest Bonfire is set for 6-8 p.m., Sept. 16, at the farm, 201 S. Plum Grove Road. The event includes a wagon ride and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire. Participants also will enjoy a lantern-lit tour of the historic barn and farmhouse.

"Harvest Bonfire is a great way to start the fall season," said Patricia Kennedy, Heritage Farm program coordinator. "This event is a simple and fun way to enjoy a night out."

Admission is $7 per person and free for children 3 and younger.
